My blogging cherry has been popped

Well... My first blog post. I guess it's pretty arrogant to assume that other people out there will be interested enough in your life to take time out to read random musings on the world in general. As I sit here, I have just finished booking hotels and flights for my trip to Asia, which is something I've been looking forward to since the entire concept crossed my mind late one night. My main problem at the moment is a chronic lack of free time. That may seem paradoxical since I can muster up enough of it to write this and spend a fair amount of my day on Facebook but I mean real time off, measured in weeks not hours. Operating on a 16 week on, 2/3 week off system means that I now try to get the most out of any time I get. This is something I manage fairly well, and in the past year I've been to Florida 4 times, California, New York. I also toured Germany, Holland, and France over the course of 3 weeks and spent 5 weeks traveling around Japan this past summer.

In about a week I set off for Asia again, a trip lasting 3 weeks during which time I shall take in Hong Kong, Singapore, Taipei, Kuala Lumpur and Shanghai. I'm counting down the days with a feverish excitement akin to a small child during the evening hours of December 24th. Seeing the Petronas Towers, Taipei 101, visiting Shanghai are all things I've had on my 'list' for some time. I shall be using this to keep people up to date with my travels, and hopefully someone will attain from reading about my experiences even 1% of the joy I get having gone through them
